The Logo

One thing which our company is always complimented on is the professional logo that adorns all marketing material, business cards, and of course this website. In fact, most people always ask: who made that logo? While Derrick Wlodarz takes credit for the company name, the logo itself is the result of some careful brainstorming by design gurus Adad Ocampo and Dexter Roknich.

The first try

As you can see, the first design was a fairly good outline of what the logo is today in final form. However, you can see how Derrick's infatuation with a flame-shaped "F" came out for the first letter. We attempted to put some fireballs for the dots above the two "i" letters but it ended up falling flat ultimately.

Second attempt

Our second attempt at a logo included the same base font, but normalized the front "F" somewhat and changed the fireballs for the "i" letters. We also dabbled in multi-colored fireballs, as shown, but this too just didn't seem right and the curved F was just out of place. Back to the drawing board we went.

The final product - the current logo

This is what you see today as the face for FireLogic, and it's been complimented time and time again. We got rid of the goofy "F" and instead used sizing disparity to visualize the uppercase F and L in the company name. Fireballs were tossed as well, and instead the notion of fire was conceptualized with the "o" being replaced with one, large, well-drawn campfire. The logo emphasizes a simple design with one bold fire in the middle, and gets the point across well.
